Shaniyah + JT

I could write a 10 page blog about this one, and eventually I will. In the meantime, it was a perfect day for a wedding, and what a gorgeous wedding it was! They held a beautiful ceremony in a mountain valley with the sweeping views of the surrounding summits. JT and Shaniya honored both their backgrounds during the ceremony, with elements of a traditional western wedding + some ancient Native American rituals. After the ceremony guests were treated to a fun reception with beautifully decorated tables and a fun bar kart mixing some legitimately amazing drinks. The space was so tastefully curated with lots of color in an elegant and modern vibe, which perfectly complemented the couple's stylish and loving personalities. The whole space was adorned with fresh flowers, lots of warm smiles, and so, so many that came out in full support of their celebration. All of JT’s old friends from the East Coast came out, which made it really special. His therapist was a very notable guest and had some amazing things to say during her toast. Both families took a huge part in making this day so special for the couple and the effect was simply heart warming. I was lucky to have spent two days getting to know them and am very happy to have met them and been invited to capture all the fun and love.

35 MM FILM IMAGES

These were shot on a combination of my Canon AE-1 from the 1960s and my Canon Rebel from the early 1990s. I used a combination of Portra color film + Ilford HP5 and Delta black and white film.

Some of the pictures of the ceremony were intentionally under-exposed to best render the mountains that were brightly lit by the sun.
